To the Editor: Seeing a picture of Joe Biden smiling from ear to ear reminded me of Daniel O’Connell’s description of Robert Peel: “a smile like the silver plate on a coffin.”
We know that a number of years ago he plagiarized another’s intellectual effort, and it seems not to have bothered him in the least. We also know his habit—or is it his need?—of stroking and smelling women’s hair; women, for the most part, who were strangers met at campaign rallies or other encounters. This, too, seems to leave him untroubled.
