To the Editor: President Trump said he has been taking Hydroxychloroquine for about two weeks as a preventive medication. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said that he doesn't believe Trump, and has serious doubts about whether he is taking the drug. He believes Trump might say this to grab a headline or to defend his early statements that Hydroxychloroquine has had very promising results for people he has talked to.
I believe that if Trump is actually taking the drug, which was never intended a preventive drug but one to be used in treating those who have contracted the coronavirus, he has tested positive for the virus. However, it is probably far more likely that Trump is lying about his use of the drug, just another one of thousands in his three-plus years in office.
