The immoral and unethical contract foisted on the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association was a political decision, not a financial one. The city is in great financial condition and can well afford to pay NYC Police Officers at the market rate prevailing in nearby jurisdictions.
There needs to be a change in city administrations. The city should be run like a business, not some utopian social-welfare entity.
