Michael Bloomberg was trying to dispose of an old skeleton unearthed by Elizabeth Warren regarding his having told an employee of Bloomberg LP in 1997, upon learning that she was pregnant, to “kill it.”
The Massachusetts Senator had segued into that story—which was featured in a 2001 campaign commercial by Mark Green that didn’t have enough impact to stave off his stunning upset by Mr. Bloomberg in their race for Mayor—after talking about losing her job as a Special Education Teacher a half-century ago when she became visibly pregnant. She added, “At least I didn’t have a boss who said to me, ‘Kill it…’ ”
