The wheels of justice have turned on Linda Fairstein.

Ms. Fairstein, who oversaw the prosecution of the Central Park Jogger case 29 years ago that ended with the convictions of five teenagers for raping the 28-year-old jogger and beating her into a coma, and headed the Manhattan District Attorney’s Sex-Crimes unit from 1976 through 2002—the year those convictions were vacated after another man confessed to the crime—has found herself on the wrong end of a media frenzy since the end of May.
