Cuomo Looks for Bounty Without a Full Mutiny

When Governor Cuomo April 11 reacted to Mayor de Blasio's declaration that city schools would remain shuttered for the rest of the term by saying, "He didn't close them and he can't open them," he probably didn't anticipate that asserting his prerogative would serve as a dress-rehearsal for a larger battle with President Trump three days later.

Nor did most of those in the media who responded to the Governor belittling the Mayor's announcement as an "opinion" rather than something he could actually enforce by opining on what they considered the latest round of the state's version of "Family Feud.'
