The United Federation of Teachers panned Mayor de Blasio’s Sept. 20 decision to change quarantine protocols for unvaccinated students, calling the new rules “ill-considered.”
He announced that starting Sept. 27, unvaccinated students who are exposed to coronavirus will not be required to quarantine if they remained masked and maintained three feet of social-distancing, which follows guidelines outlined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
