Fire Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro was joined Sept. 6 by friends and family of 22 FDNY members who at a ceremony at FDNY headquarters had their names added to the department’s World Trade Center Memorial Wall in recognition of their dying from exposure to toxins during the rescue and recovery efforts. Those honored were: Firefighter Anthony Alese, Dr. Michael G. Guttenberg, Capt. Victor C. Valva, Firefighter Brent G. Crobak, Firefighter Charles Williams, Battalion Chief Robert P. Miuccio, Firefighter Michael T. McDonald, Firefighter Jimmy Martinez, Firefighter Dennis G. Heaney, Firefighter John R. Elges, Emergency Medical Technician Felipe A. Torre, Paramedic Martha Stewart, EMT Joseph A. Rodriguez, Firefighter Daniel C. Bove, Capt. John S. Moschella, Firefighter Richard H. Meehan, Lieut. Timothy P. O'Neill, Firefighter Kevin E. Lennon, Lieut. John T. Moran, Firefighter Lloyd W. Stuart, Firefighter Kevin J. Nolan, and Firefighter Richard N. Driscoll.
