SUNY Chancellor Exiting Amid Budget Headaches

State University of New York Chancellor Kristina Johnson announced June 3 that she will be stepping down from the role, raising concerns from the union that represents SUNY faculty since the campuses face large budget gaps.

Ms. Johnson was first appointed in 2017, after former SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher left the position. She is leaving to become President of Ohio State University in September.
