Harold "Sonny" Hall, who transformed himself from a disinterested transit worker early in his career to a feisty trade-unionist and hands-on leader of both Transport Workers Union Local 100 and its national union, died Jan. 13 at age 89.
His niece Patricia, who revealed his death to Local 100, said that he had been in failing health for some time and was in hospice care.
