Sgt. Kizzy Adonis, who arrived at the scene moments after Eric Garner was taken down by Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo and others, was docked 20 days of vacation pay after reaching a settlement Aug. 21 with the NYPD that allowed her to plead no contest to an administrative charge of failure to supervise.
The agreement was finalized two days after Officer Pantaleo was fired by Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill for his role in the confrontation between police and Mr. Garner in Tompkinsville, Staten Island, which ultimately led to his death.
