The NYPD announced April 9 that Chief of Crime Control Strategies Dermot Shea will become the new Chief of Detectives, replacing the retiring Robert K. Boyce.
Deputy Chief Lori Pollock will replace Mr. Shea as Chief of Crime Control Strategies, which like Chief of Detectives is a three-star job.
