The union that represents the city workers that maintain Prospect Park in Brooklyn say a lack of trucks to pick up solid waste has contributed to unacceptable conditions at the 585-acre expanse.
A member of District Council 37's Local 983, which represents several Department of Parks titles, said that throughout the summer drivers who haul away the garbage watched it pile up because their trucks were not roadworthy.
