NYPD's Tsakos Remembered For His Dedication to Job and Family

He built little houses from cardboard boxes for his young son and daughter; he piloted single-engine planes, practice, he hoped, for flying his family to faraway places the world over; he rode his Harley, fast; he could lighten a moment, and did. 

Anastasios Tsakos also received untold commendations and made 200 arrests over a 14-year NYPD career, the last seven patrolling the city’s busy, crowded corridors with Highway Patrol Unit #3 out of Hollis, Queens.
