U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings, who died in hospice care Oct. 17, was hailed by national union leaders as a tireless advocate for government workers and the civil service. The Maryland Congressman, who represented Baltimore, was 68 years old.
Over the last few years, he had issues with mobility and died “due to complications concerning longstanding health challenges” according to his office.
