Shaun Francois, president of District Council 37’s School Employees Local 372, won in a landslide in the union’s June 5 election, getting 896 votes to 192 for main challenger Anthony Gordon.
Two other candidates, Alfonso Giordano and Doreen Cristallo, got 23 and 2 votes, respectively, with just 1,139 votes cast by the local’s 24,000 members.
