Law Dept. Tells HA GM: Cut the Comedy And Keep the Day Job

The city Law Department has found “insufficient evidence” that Vito Mustaciuolo, General Manager at the Housing Authority, created a hostile work environment by demeaning female staffers.

In August, seven employees anonymously told The Daily News that female NYCHA workers were belittled and constantly dealt with unprovoked yelling and cursing. They alleged that when they reported the outbursts to superiors, their complaints were ignored because of Mr. Mustaciuolo’s role in turning around the agency, which has come under intense scrutiny for lead-paint contamination, broken elevators and malfunctioning heating equipment.
