A former Rikers Island inmate was arraigned in Bronx Supreme Court Feb. 5 on assault and other charges in connection with a Jan. 9 incident that injured a Correction Officer, the office of Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced.
According to the DA’s office, Gerren Delvin, 34, who had rigged his cell in the Anna M. Kross Center so that he would be able to leave after lock-in, grabbed the Officer by the neck and slashed him several times with a sharp object.
