The City Council’s celebration of Women’s History Month on March 15 highlighted the progress made by women in the labor movement, but was also an occasion for the examination of workplace discrimination that still endures.
The Council’s Women’s Caucus chose to honor 10 women from both public- and private-sector unions who distinguished themselves as community leaders and role models.
