The Department of Education Jan. 12 announced plans to scrap the gifted-and-talented test given to 4-year-olds next year.
The department stated that the test, which determines admission into the gifted-and-talented program that serves as a feeder for the city’s most-successful middle and high schools, will be offered this April.
