Furloughs for 13,000 Immigration Services Workers Due Aug. 3

More than 13,000 Federal workers with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will be furloughed starting Aug. 3 because the agency has seen a dramatic decline in its revenue, it said.

The agency nets hundreds of millions of dollars annually by charging to process applications for visas, green cards, working papers, overseas adoptions, and applications for citizenship.
