Some of Rudy Giuliani’s talk-show antics lately—moving from denial to admission in 25 seconds when asked by Chris Cuomo on CNN whether he had met with Ukrainian officials, trying to rebut a fellow panelist on a Fox News show with the explanation, “Shut up, moron”—have led us to ponder his role as personal lawyer to President Trump.
Our thoughts have wandered to the old phrase, “A man who acts as his own lawyer has a fool for a client.” That may be true, but we wonder just what a man with Rudy Giuliani acting as his lawyer has.
