Two Elmhurst Hospital employees received the COVID-19 vaccine Dec. 16, making them the first city public-hospital staffers to be inoculated against the virus that overwhelmed NYC Health + Hospitals nine months ago.
Environmental Services Department Maintenance Worker William Kelly, 62, and Veronica Delgado, 65, a Physician’s Assistant in the hospital’s Emergency Department, were honored to be the first among their colleagues to receive Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.
