After six years as City Corporation Counsel, Zachary Carter will be retiring at the end of this month.
His last public-sector job caps a trailblazing career. He was the first African-American U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. He also served as a Federal Magistrate Judge, as well as a city Criminal Court Judge.
