Less than a week after an Assemblyman leading that body's probe of Governor Cuomo's conduct rebuked him after concluding his chief spokesman had implied a sexual-harassment investigation ordered by State Attorney General Letitia James might be tainted by her political ambitions, the Governor suggested the outside attorneys tapped by her to look into the charges had their own axes to grind.
"Look who the independent investigators are," he said during a press conference he convened at Yankee Stadium July 26 to announce a $15-million program to raise the vaccination rates in some of the city's poorest neighborhoods.
