City Workers' Vaccine Hesitancy Continues as Inoculations Slow

The de Blasio administration will not meet its goal of having five million New Yorker vaccinated by the end of the month, the Mayor conceded during his June 9 press briefing, with reluctance of some of city workers among the reasons.

For several weeks, he has been encouraging the 80,000 civil servants who have been working remotely to return to their offices, citing the success and effectiveness of the vaccination program.
