Captains' Union Endorses Yang, Rebuffing One of Its Own

The union representing city police Captains has endorsed Andrew Yang in the Democratic primary for Mayor, as much an affirmation of the businessman as a considerable knock on one of his principal adversaries, Brooklyn Borough President and former NYPD Captain Eric Adams.

The June 14 endorsement arrived as early voting got underway in the five boroughs, with the latest polling showing Mr. Adams corralling nearly a quarter of the first-choice votes among the crowded Democratic field, seven points ahead of his closest pursuer and 11 points in front of Mr. Yang.
