The National Association of Police Organizations has endorsed President Trump in his bid for reelection.

"Our endorsement recognizes your steadfast and very public support for our men and women on the front lines, especially during this time of unfair and inaccurate opprobrium being directed at our members by so many," NAPO’s leader, Michael McHale, said in a statement issued July 15.

Mr. McHale also praised the President for directing Attorney General Bill Barr to “aggressively prosecute” people who attack police officers and for signing the Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act into law.

The association represents more than 1,000 police unions.
