In Michigan, rancorous negotiations between hospital workers and management

Consolidation and the Affordable Care Act are among the reasons being cited for acrimonious negotiations between unions and hospital systems in Michigan, according to labor experts cited by Crain’s Detroit Business.

Union organizers have nevertheless undertaken campaigns for nonprofessional and technical staff who work at a metro Detroit hospitals, the publication reports.
