In what could be an asset for the New York City’s beleaguered transportation system should either be confirmed, President-elect Joe Biden is said to be considering two city officials for Transporation Secretary, the Daily News reported.

Both Interim NYC Transit President Sarah Feinberg and former city Transportation Commissioner Polly Trottenberg are well known to the former Vice President, having served in U.S. Department of Transportation during the Obama Administration.

Ms. Feinberg was the administrator of the Federal Railway Administration during Barack Obama’s second term and Ms. Trottenberg held several DOT jobs under the former President, including undersecretary overseeing policy before she became the city’s DOT Commissioner.
