Retired MTA workers of Transport Workers United Local 100 have gained at least a temporary reprieve in their effort to stop the union from switching them into a privately managed Medicare Advantage plan.
Manhattan Civil Court Supervising Judge Shahabuddeen A. Ally on Monday granted the retirees their request for a temporary restraining order that for now halts the MTA’s and the union’s move. The parties will reconvene in court Jan. 23.
