A construction subcontractor has been prohibited from bidding on city contracts for five years and must pay over $69,000 in unpaid wages, penalties and interest after the company falsely reported that they paid prevailing wages, the city comptroller’s office announced Wednesday.
The settlement is related to a carpentry project in the Bronx performed by Montis Construction under a contract with the New York City Transit Authority.
