To the Editor:
On Dec. 22, 2018, I filed a Federal lawsuit against the NYPD for employment discrimination, retaliation and denial of promotion to Sergeant even though I ranked 88.5 on the list out of 2,700 of those who passed. I complained of illegal arrest quotas, denial of medical benefits due to line of duty injuries, and I was passed over for promotion four months ago. It’s the price you pay when you go against the status quo.
