To the Editor:
During the 2018 primary and general election Andrew Cuomo, with help from his rich friends and at least $27 million dollars of disingenuous ads, rewrote his record as a two-term Governor. The Governor, however, has not run out of false narratives. He has a long-running one on the subject of taxes: never raise them on the wealthy, in a state with one of the highest rates of inequality and poverty. Should this be done even by a relatively small amount, the rich will supposedly pack up their belongings, sell their homes, leave their jobs, take their children out of school, and move to states that have a lower tax rate or no taxes.
