Had he done even minimal research into the status of U.S. bike-sharing systems, Roger Toussaint (June 10 letter) could have quickly disabused himself of ill-conceived conspiracy theories involving his union. He might even come to own the information to see matters in a different light.
For starters, I recommend that he review the April 2016 Technical Brief written by economist Theresa Firestine, of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
