The way conservatives flip-flop on issues is truly amazing.
When George W. Bush was President, every conservative completely supported “No Child Left Behind” and its dependence on testing. At the time, they argued that testing was the only way to determine whether student outcomes were improving. However, once President Obama took office and introduced “Common Core,” a national set of objective standards, conservatives made a U-turn criticizing the program, with many opting out of testing for their own children.
