A “double standard” means no standard at all. Just pages apart on the same day were a pair of newspaper accounts of two injustices committed by the Department of Education.
In one case, the injustice consisted of letting off a guilty Principal, a proven law-breaker, who was not only unpunished but actually rewarded with a position of increased authority and prestige. Her pay will remain at around triple that of many Teachers.
