Much the way the name of Harry Potter’s nemesis, Lord Voldemort, dare not be spoken, GOP leaders McConnell and Ryan have shied away from using the terms “supply-side” or “trickle-down” when discussing their tax plans.
However, President Trump’s Chief Economic Advisor, Gary Cohn, showed no such aversion when he told CNBC’s John Harwood that “the whole trickle-down…is good for the economy” and “the most excited group out there are big CEOs, about our tax plan.”
