Does Michael Sanchez (Dec. 22 letter) feel that the $100,000 a year of taxpayers’ money he estimates supported Eric Garner’s family made him worthy of the death penalty?
If so, how about the trillions of taxpayer dollars the military-industrial complex has received over the years in defense expenditures? Should the corporate welfare for weapons we don’t need (we have enough nukes to blow up the world many times over) entitle cops to choke the CEOs of those companies?
