In a recent letter (Nov. 16 issue), former Transport Workers Union Local 100 officer Arnold Cherry takes me to task for not joining the rank-and-file organization he led; not supporting Willie James when he was appointed Local 100 president; and not supporting Corine Scott-Mack when she was elected VP of RTO.
Cherry seems to believe the fact James and Scott were African-American was a sufficient reason to support them. What Cherry left out of his tale tells more than what he included.
