Last Nov. 20, Mayor de Blasio said during a press conference that four young children living in Housing Authority apartments had tested positive for elevated lead levels in their blood between 2014 and 2016 and that no “medical consequences” had resulted.
“Thank God there has not been harm done to any children because of mistakes that were made,” he told reporters. “I want to give you context for that.”
