A Department of Transportation Bridges Electrician killed on the job earlier this month was hailed as a devoted family man, a master of his craft and a mentor to younger workers at an April 14 funeral service at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Mastic Beach, L.I..

George Staab, 57, of Shirley was struck and killed by a motorist on April 4 while he and a colleague were working on the Hutchinson River Parkway in The Bronx.
