City Now Seeking To Fill Openings For Environmental Police

The city is giving exams for Environmental Police Officers, who patrol water-supply areas in The Bronx and outside the city. You may schedule and take the test through the end of June. The application fee is $61.
The current minimum salary for officers at Assignment Level I is $41,922 per year for the first 26 weeks, rising to $48,093. The pay escalates in increments to $63,631 per year after 6½ years. In addition, officers receive an annual uniform allowance, longevity pay, city contributions to the welfare fund and city-paid health insurance.
