Advocates for New York’s hospitals are hoping a multi-million-dollar TV and radio ad campaign will help win them the support they need in Albany as the April 1 budget deadline approaches.
The multi-media push was the product of a partnership between Local 1199 of the Service Employees International Union and the Greater New York Hospital Association, which includes NYC Health +Hospitals. The broadcast ads, which are running statewide, feature a nurse going about her rounds pondering aloud how her community would suffer if her hospital was to close.
