It is hard, watching Rudy Giuliani morph into a slightly-more-intelligent version of Donald Trump in questioning whether President Obama really loves the United States the way people like Rudy do, not to believe that he is trying to re-fight the 2008 presidential election, the one in which he got a single delegate vote while Mr. Obama captured the grand prize.
Mr. Giuliani has become increasingly wealthy in the seven years since, and remains an honored guest on conservative talk shows, where he spent a good part of the latter half of 2014 expounding on the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown in confrontations with police and how people like Al Sharpton should be focused less on criticizing the police than on why black people keep killing each other and on prodding the Teacher unions to do a better job of educating minority students.
