A Queens Supreme Court Justice Sept. 17 issued a temporary restraining order that will delay the transfer of Correction Officers from the city jail system to the Horizon Juvenile Center past the scheduled Oct. 1 move to allow a hearing on the latter date regarding a union claim that the de Blasio administration violated the law by failing to negotiate on the change.
The Correction Officers Benevolent Association had renewed a previous request to Queens Supreme Court Justice Joseph Esposito to reconsider an earlier ruling that the city was within its rights to order some COs to take on different duties in connection with the transfer.
