A veteran manager who’s held top-level social-service positions in the Obama Administration, state and city governments was chosen Feb. 21 as Commissioner of the Administration for Children’s Services, ushering in what is hoped will be a new chapter for the beleaguered agency.
Mayor de Blasio named David Hansell to the post vacated by Gladys Carrión earlier this month, and both elected officials and union leaders called him a good choice.
