A former NYPD cop and his brother, who worked for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, were each sentenced to three years in Federal prison March 27 after pleading guilty to illegally shipping military-grade weapons to the Philippines without a license.
The former Police Officer, Rex G. Maralit, and his brother, Wilfredo Maralit, 49, who was a CBP officer at Los Angeles International Airport, pleaded guilty last June to violating the Arms Export Control Act.
