Wisconsin Governor Acts to Make It A Right-to-Work State

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on Monday signed a “right-to-work” law passed March 6 by the state’s legislature, making his state the 25th to adopt such a statute.

Under the legislation, which passed the Republican-led Assembly after a 24-hour debate and a heavily partisan vote, private-sector workers won’t be required to join unions or pay dues, something Mr. Walker imposed on most public-sector state employees four years ago.
