The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District will not seek Federal civil-rights charges against White Plains police officers who killed a 68-year-old black Marine veteran who, apparently disoriented, refused them entry to his apartment.
The investigation into the death of Kenneth Chamberlain Sr. began in 2012, about six months after the shooting, which occurred Nov. 19, 2011.
